Saitek launches the Cyborg Command Unit - the ultimate advantage in FPS, RTS and Role Playing Games
Bristol, 14 September 2007 – Saitek today announced the launch of the Cyborg Command Unit – a keypad controller specifically for PC gamers.
Designed for use in First Person Shooter (FPS), Real Time Strategy (RTS) and Role-Playing games (RPG), the Saitek Cyborg Command Unit offers enhanced functionality by giving the user instant access to an array of ergonomically positioned keys and controls, allowing gamers to play more effectively, more accurately, and for longer periods of time.
The Saitek Cyborg Command Unit features a 4-way hat switch and 21 buttons including space and shift function. Keys are quiet and cushioned for maximum comfort, and are backlit through laser etching to give much greater visibility in low light environments - ideal for late night gaming sessions and LAN parties. The thumb button is also adjustable, sliding forwards and backwards, and pivoting up and down to allow gamers to find their optimum position, whatever their hand size.
The Cyborg Command Unit offers a choice of three games modes – Default, First Person Shooter (FPS) and Real-Time Strategy (RTS) - which configure keys to commands specific to game genres. Casual gamers can instantly set up the controller with the dedicated FPS and RTS modes, choosing from a number of pre-set game profiles to get straight into the game. More experienced gamers benefit from advanced gaming options with full Saitek Smart Technology software support, which offers up to 144 programmable commands.
